Now in its third year, Upstate Art Weekend announces over 145 participants including galleries, museums, historic houses, sculpture parks, performance venues, farms, artist-run spaces and studios, and temporary projects across eight New York counties. For 2022, a full program of events fills Friday-Sunday, July 22-24.

Founded by Helen Toomer and supported by STONELEAF RETREAT, an artist residency for womxn and families in the Catskill Mountains, Upstate Art Weekend is a three-day self-directed tour around to discover the creative vibrancy of the region.

One Love Community Fridge

With only three days to experience open studios, gallery exhibitions, and some spectacular scenery, you’ll want to download a beautifully designed map or customize one of your own. Some highlights include: Storm King Art Center‘s presentation of sculptures by Wangechi Mutu across their expansive landscape, Portia Munson’s solo exhibition Flood at Art Omi, PS21‘s presentation of James Casebere’s Solo Pavilion for Two or Three, One Love Community Fridge‘s food and art farm supporting regional food justice organizations, and ‘T’ Space‘s bookable guided tours of the reserve and the new Architectural Archive and Research Library.
