Portrait of America

Across 10,000 miles of American rail routes, photographer Katie Edwards documents a singular perspective on the vast and varied country through the frame of a train window. From steel yards to cattle ranches to the Pacific horizon, Edwards glimpses urban landscapes, southern deserts, and western mountains through the vertical, traveling frame.
